Okoy Style
Crispy, Delicious & Affordable these are just some of the characteristics that may describe this incredible delicacy that catched the heart of masses. An accessible vegetable patty style delicacy that can be eaten breakfast, lunch, dinner, and best in “Merienda” at super affordable price at only 5 pesos.
Taste & Pair
A crispy fry squash (kalabasa) dipped in sweet & sweet spicy vinegar, makes a great combination & balanced to the taste that makes it even more attractive and delicious. And okoy can be paired with any other dishes like pansit, spaghetti, lugaw & gotto that is why this okoy recipe is for all ages.
Ambiance
Since okoy is a street food we expected that it is less hygienic but in Mang. Jones’ place, the area is clean garbage bin separated in the cooking place & the utensils are well organized and the okoy’s presentation is also organize the cook are wearing their attire & the place is free from insects, also assist their costumer in were they can sit.
Children’s Taste
The okoy is a “kalabasa” dish, thus children might won’t eat it , but since the technique of cooking the okoy is fried & scrape in small pieces, children won’t feel that they are eating vegetable, we highly recommend OKOY for the parents who are having a hardtime to feed their children vegetables. Buy your children OKOY & they will be OKAY.!
Overall
To wrap these thoughts up we rate the Mang. Jones’ OKOY Recipe a good 9 out of 10 since it is Simple, Affordable, Nutritious.
